Partakers of Grace
…you all are partakers with me of grace. Philippians 1:7b
- Partaker– to take part in or experience something along with others; to have a portion
- Grace – unending love and mercy, consistent favor, a gift, forgiveness, redemption, healing, transformation, and unmerited favor
This morning as I began reading Philippians, I got stopped at just a few words at the very beginning of chapter 1… partakers of grace. Every day we are all partakers of grace. It’s not like money where we spend it all, then have to earn more and put it into an account in order to spend it again. God’s grace is always available, and His mercy is new every day. His grace is sufficient. It’s exactly what you and I need every single day.
Have a blessed day as you partake in God’s amazing grace!
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
