Life Comes with Instructions
One of my most “go to” books of The Bible is Philippians. There is so much there…From
“He who began a good work is faithful to complete it” (Philippians 1:6) to
“Rejoice in the Lord always…” (Philippians 4:4)
This morning I’m stuck on “Be anxious for nothing.” or in some translations,,, “Don’t worry about anything.”
Don’t worry about anything
Yesterday was one of those days. I felt concern graduate to worry then multiply to fear…all based on a question someone asked. As I was pondering the scenario, one thing lead to another and I realized it was dinner time and I’d wasted a portion of my day worrying. I was so busy worrying I didn’t even realize how beautiful the day had gotten.
Then God reminded me of several different scriptures He had already given me, along with ways He’s already answered so many prayers and worked so many things out…I felt silly… a part of a day wasted. I’m so thankful for my “go to ” book, The Bible, that gives me continuous instruction. All I have to do is open it.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
