My Completion
Isaiah 55:10-11
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,(canceled, negated, invalid- to make ineffectual; invalidate; nullify)
But it shall accomplish(achieve, realize– to bring to completion) what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
I love this scripture. It gives me great comfort. Whatever God wants to happen through His word will happen. I’ve personally seen God’s word convict hearts, including my own. When reading God’s word, I’m sure you’ve experienced peace, joy, comfort, and hope, just as I have.
Every time we take the time to read God’s word, its never time wasted. Every word in the Bible serves a purpose and accomplishes what God wants to accomplish in our hearts and lives as we are open to the moving of God’s Holy Spirit.
You and I could read the same scripture and it may accomplish something different in my life than it does yours. It’s also amazing how we could read the same scripture 8 times and it could accomplish 8 different things depending on our life circumstance.
There is rest and comfort knowing His word will accomplish in me what He desires if I let it. If I let it. I must let God work. We must be open to His leadership and Lordship in our lives.
Also, His word will accomplish what He desires through you or through someone else. He will use any willing vessel to accomplish what He wants to accomplish.
Lord, you are my completion. Help me to allow you to accomplish your perfect plan in my life. Help us all to be open to your accomplishment and completion of your plan for our lives.
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. Philippians 1:6 AMPC
