God’s Way is Best

4am lightbulb moment…so I’m praying over a situation thinking about how it feels like my prayers have been ineffective lately due to certain prayer outcomes.

At the same time, I can look back and see how God has brought us through and His way of doing things was way better than I could ever have anticipated.

I found myself in that moment not knowing how to pray simply thanking him for how He was going to work it out. I guess what I’m saying is, often when I pray, I already have answers on my mind about the outcome of the prayer. This morning loud and clear God was showing me not to worry about how he was going to handle it.

His way is always the best way. He not only wants our request be made known to Him, He wants us to allow Him to handle the details. He doesn’t need my help. Once I give it to Him He doesn’t need me taking it back or manipulating the situation. He simply wants to handle it His way!

So now I’m going to sleep while He works on it …His way.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,

And do not return there,

But water the earth,

And make it bring forth and bud,

That it may give seed to the sower

And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,

And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:8-11
