Filling the Void

For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. Psalm 107: 9

There’s a longing- a longing for acceptance, love, happiness, and contentment. People are searching. Their search is the cause of many addictions, lifestyle alternatives, heartbreak, and depression. There’s a void, an emptiness. Trying to fill it becomes a way of life.

But there is hope. There is good news. God sent His son, Jesus, to give life everlasting (John 3:16) and fill the longing, the searching, and the void.

Jesus is my everything. My all in all.  I want everyone to know about Him. The bible, God’s word, has every answer anyone will ever need. He is the key to happiness, contentment, and peace. He loves you and me just as we are. We don’t need to change or become better before we accept Jesus into our hearts. We don’t need to be perfect before attending church. He will take us as is.

No matter how long the search, true peace, contentment and happiness can’t be found without Jesus. He longs to know us and have a relationship with us. Today is the perfect day to ask Jesus to be Lord of your life. Today is the perfect day to open His word, The Bible, and begin reading. Search for Him and He will be found.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. Jeremiah 29:11
