Abundant Life
The thief (The devil) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. (John 10:10a)
Now more than ever the devil is trying to take us down. He’s causing churches and His servants to struggle, trying to cut Christians off at the knees. He would love nothing more than for us to keep our eyes focused on non-essential things.
The devil is a powerful force. He is the author of confusion and lies. He is the father of lies. It’s as if he is making his last efforts to destroy God’s children. Don’t underestimate the devil.
The good news?
As Christians, Jesus lives in us, and we are children of God. We are joint heirs with Jesus. We have the power through Jesus to stand against the devil’s wicked schemes. That’s huge. The devil can’t win if we know who we are in Christ.
That’s why now more than ever we need to be aware of God, and His power in our lives.
God is more powerful than the devil or any wicked scheme the devil may have planned.
God is more powerful than the devil or any wicked scheme the devil may have planned.
Don’t give up. The second part of the verse says…
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10b
Praise the Lord!
