A Brick Wall
The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. Lamentations 3:25
Today, talking to an employee, I told her that while trying to solve a problem, we keep running into a brick wall. Every time we think we have the problem solved, we find it’s not a viable solution and it leads us right back to square one.
Sometimes I feel like I’m running in place while trying to wait for provision and solve this problem. No matter how fast I run, I can’t gain ground. I’m becoming exhausted because I feel like I’m sprinting, but not making any progress.
The light bulb moment…I can’t be waiting on Him and sprinting at the same time. That’s why I keep running into brick walls.
So again, I find myself in a season of waiting. Waiting is one of the most difficult things for me to do. I’m seeking His word, asking for wisdom, doing all I know to do, but there I am still with no answer and no provision for the need that keeps staring me down.
The truth is, in this situation the only thing we can do is wait for God’ provision and God’s perfect timing. It’s going to require real trust that as we wait, He is handling the situation and will provide every step of the way all we need.
Dear Heavenly Father, help to wait patiently and not mess up your plan by getting in the way. Waiting is hard, but I know your solution and provision is perfect.
The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
