In Science We Trust?
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
The Pandemic… “2 weeks to flatten the curve”… has now turned into 20 months. We’ve watched ‘heroes’ lose their jobs during a job crisis, businesses close their doors permanently, folks argue over masks, and pro-vaccine bullies & anti-vaccine shamers argue.
Churches have closed, Christians have fought, and friends have turned into enemies. The effects of the pandemic have proven to be long lasting and devastating. People are losing their personal freedoms both involuntarily and voluntarily.
We’ve taken a virus and made it a god.
We’ve put our trust in science instead of the one true God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I’ve read in the bible over and over to trust God. I’ve never seen anything in God’s word that tells me to trust science.
This new ‘god’ we’ve decided to follow causes death, fear, anxiety, isolation, hate, lack, and confusion.
We have a decision to make. This is not a decision just for today. It’s a decision for tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. What or who is going to be our god? What thoughts will we let rule our mind? Whose voices will we listen to? Are we going to read news articles more than the bible? Will we let fear drive our actions?
How will you devote today?
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
