Part 3 of “The 7- I Ams”

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

The Way

Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,

John 3:16– for God so loved the word that He gave his one and only son that whosoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 8:58 – “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am! God the Father  (Trinity)

The Truth

John 1:17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John 16:13But when he, the Spirit of truth, (The Holy Spirit) comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

The Life

John 3:16

1 John 5:12Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

John 1:4  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

John 10:10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Before Abraham Was, I AM (john 8:48-58)

Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?” Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.” Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?” Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

***We could discuss everything that the trinity is but the fact of the matter is, we could talk everyday till the end of the year and NOT scratch the surface of who Jesus is, God is, the Holy spirit is.

He is our completion. Here is what I mean…

We grieve , there’s a hole . we hurt , the hole gets bigger, anger, but then there is God to fill the hole and make you whole. Grief hurt anger depression, wrestling with God’s will What hole or holes do you have? God can make you completely whole

Jeremiah 29:11-15

¹¹ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ¹² Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. ¹⁴ I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
